The Kasadyahan is the regional cultural competition of Iloilo City’s Dinagyang Festival, held every January in honor of the Santo Niño. While the Ati tribes competition takes the spotlight on Sunday, the Kasadyahan — staged the day before — showcases the festivals and cultural traditions of towns and provinces from across Western Visayas, with contingents performing their own local celebrations in one grand showdown. The 2014 Kasadyahan brought colorful street dancing and cultural presentations to Iloilo City’s downtown streets as part of the Dinagyang Festival 2014.
