Saud Beach in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, is one of the most loved white-sand beaches in northern Luzon. Its long crescent of fine, pale sand faces the West Philippine Sea, with coconut palms leaning over the shore and gentle waves rolling in — a scene often compared to Boracay before it was developed. Saud is the main beach area of Pagudpud, lined with resorts, homestays, and small restaurants, and it is a favorite stop on Ilocos road trips together with the Bangui windmills and the rock formations of Burgos. These photos were taken during a 2010 visit to Saud Beach.
