Anawangin Cove is a beach cove in San Antonio, Zambales, near the coastal village of Pundaquit. It is known for its curved stretch of light-coloured sand and the agoho trees that line the shore and shade its camping areas, giving the cove a look quite unlike most Philippine beaches.
Reached by boat from Pundaquit, Anawangin has become a favourite spot for campers and beach lovers looking for a quieter escape, with the sea on one side and hills and trees behind the shore. The photos in this post are from our 2013 trip to Pundaquit, Zambales, and our visit to Anawangin Cove.
