Freedom Park is a public park in Panabo City, Davao del Norte, in Mindanao. Like many Philippine city parks, it is an open gathering place at the heart of the community – a green space for strolling, resting and watching everyday life in the city go by.
The park is best known for its large sculptures by Kublai, the Davao artist whose monumental works stand in public spaces around the Davao region and Mindanao. The original post below noted his work here with the caption, “Sculpted by Kublai, a world class artist.”
The photographs in this post are from a September 2013 visit to Panabo City. They show the park and its sculptures as they looked during that trip to Davao del Norte.
