The Kasadyahan Cultural Competition is one of the main events of Iloilo City’s Dinagyang Festival, the January celebration in honour of the Santo Niño. In the Kasadyahan, festivals from different towns across Western Visayas take to the stage with cultural performances retelling local legends, harvest rituals and stories of faith.

Unlike the Ati tribes competition, the Kasadyahan is a showcase of the region’s many festivals in one programme, each contingent performing in colourful costumes with live music and choreography. It gives spectators a tour of Western Visayas culture in a single afternoon.
