Kuraldal is a distinctly Kapampangan expression of devotion: a dancing procession in which devotees take to the streets in honour of a patron saint, many of them dancing as a panata, or vow, in thanksgiving or to ask for favours and healing.

In Betis, Guagua, the Kuraldal is held in honour of San Juan Bautista (St John the Baptist), patron of this district known for its old church and woodcarving tradition. The photographs in this post are from the San Juan Bautista Kuraldal in 2017 in Betis, Pampanga.
