The Feast of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo, Manila is one of the biggest expressions of Catholic devotion in the Philippines. Its highlight is the Traslacion, the grand procession in which the image of the Black Nazarene is carried through the streets of Manila.

Huge crowds of devotees, many of them walking barefoot, join the procession every January, hoping to come close to the image and take part in a devotion passed down through generations. The photographs in this post are from the Traslacion in 2018.
