Ramyun is the Korean style of instant noodle soup, served in a hot broth that is often spicy and usually topped with simple additions such as egg and vegetables. It is everyday comfort food — quick, filling and warming — and Korean noodle shops have become a familiar sight in many Philippine cities.
A steaming bowl is especially satisfying after a long day, whatever the weather. That is the simple pleasure recorded here: hot, spicy noodles at the end of a tiring day, as the original Kapampangan caption below puts it.
The photograph in this post is from a Mr. Ramyun meal in 2013.
