The Kadayawan Festival is Davao City’s grand thanksgiving celebration, held every August in honor of the city’s bountiful harvest, rich culture, and its indigenous peoples and Moro communities. Festival highlights include the Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan street-dancing competition, floral floats laden with fruits and flowers, and exhibits of Davao’s famous produce — durian, mangosteen, orchids, and woven crafts of the region’s tribes. The 2013 edition once again filled San Pedro Street and the city center with color and music. These photos were taken during the Kadayawan Festival in August 2013 in Davao City.
