The Sinukwan Festival is the cultural festival of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, held every late November to early December. It honors Atching Sinhukwan (Aring Sinukwan), the mythical king of the Kapampangans in local folklore, and celebrates Kapampangan culture through street dancing, parades, cultural shows, and food fairs. Barangays, schools, and towns from across Pampanga compete in colorful costumes inspired by Kapampangan legends, making Sinukwan the province’s biggest cultural celebration after the Giant Lantern Festival. These photos were taken during the Sinukwan Festival of 2013 in San Fernando.
