The Lubao International Balloon Festival brought hot air balloons to Prado Siongco in Lubao, Pampanga, drawing crowds to watch the colourful balloons inflate and lift off over the fields. Billed as the 2nd Philippine International Balloon Festival, the event put Lubao on the map as one of the country’s ballooning destinations outside Clark.

Aside from the balloon flights, festival-goers enjoyed the fiesta atmosphere on the ground, with food stalls and activities around the launch field. Events like this have helped make Pampanga a regular stop for aviation and outdoor festivals in Central Luzon.
