The Sabuaga Festival is the town festival of Santo Tomas in Pampanga, a celebration that brings the community together in colourful street dancing and festivities. Like many Kapampangan town festivals, it is a showcase of local culture, faith and pride in one’s hometown.

The 2017 celebration was the festival’s eighth edition. The photographs in this post are from the Sabuaga Festival in 2017 in Santo Tomas, Pampanga.

The 2017 edition once again turned Sto. Tomas into a garden in motion: on Easter Sunday, petals were scattered (sabuag) along the procession route as the town honoured the Risen Christ and the Virgin Mary for the Salubong celebration.
