The Sinukwan Festival is the City of San Fernando, Pampanga’s celebration of Kapampangan culture, named after Aring Sinukuan, the legendary fairy guardian of Mount Arayat. Held as the year closes, the festival gathers the province’s towns for street dancing, cultural performances and festivities that put Kapampangan heritage — its dances, costumes, food and folklore — at centre stage. The 2018 edition brought contingents to the streets of the provincial capital once again, each performance retelling a piece of the Sinukuan legend and the farming traditions of the Pampanga plains.
