Mines View Park is one of Baguio City’s classic stops: a ridge-top viewpoint looking out over the mountains of Benguet and the old mining country below. On a clear day the view opens across ridges and valleys far beyond the city, which is why generations of Baguio visitors have made the short trip out to this park for photographs and souvenir shopping.

The photograph in this post is from a February 2010 visit to Baguio, during Panagbenga season. It shows the Mines View Park lookout as visitors find it – a paved viewing area above the slopes, with the mountain scenery that has made this modest park a fixture of almost every Baguio itinerary.
