The Giant Lantern Festival (Ligligan Parul) of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga, held its 2015 competition night on December 19, 2015 at Robinsons Starmills. Eleven barangays battled with giant lanterns about 20 feet in diameter, each running thousands of bulbs through a hand-built rotor that choreographs the lights to music — the signature craft of the Christmas Capital of the Philippines. After the kaleidoscopic showdown, the judges named the year’s champion and runners-up among the participating barangays. This post announced the winners of the Giant Lantern Festival 2015.
